Located in the North East region of the San Diego County, Rancho Bernardo is a community encompassing green canyons and sprawling marketplaces, golf courses and neighborhoods. Rancho Bernardo was originally part of a Mexican land grant called Rancho San Bernardo. Governors delivered the grant in 1842 and 1845 to Don Jose Snook, a well-travelled sea captain with a desire to settle in California. The ranch was stacked with herds of cattle, mule sheep and was cited as one of the largest stock raising projects in the region. In 1962 San Diego County formally voted annexation of Ranch Bernardo and set to work planning a diverse efficiently planned community. Besides immaculate houses, Rancho Bernardo also has almost 600 acres of commercial office infrastructure hosting global companies with thousands of employees.
