Solana Beach is a seaside community in the northern San Diego County nestled between Cardiff by the Sea and Del Mar. In the early 1900s, the early residents of the area were the George H Jones family. Over the years as the Santa Fe irrigation project took off it led to development of land through Rancho Santa Fe to Solana Beach. The area saw growth and development during this period,. In 1986 the small coastal town was formally incorporated as the city of Solana Beach. Today Solana Beach is a much-visited destination and home to those who enjoy coastal living, hiking, golf and more. The train station in Solana Beach is prominent for San Diego and runs both the Amtrak and the Coaster services.
